Outdoor Fun!

We embark on outdoor adventures from lively games and nature walks to imaginative play and picnics. Children soak up the sunshine, develop gross motor skills, and cultivate a deep connection with the natural world. Rain or shine we go out and enjoy hands on experiences with the elements of our outdoor settings.

Drama

Meet Ms. Chris

Manager Chris

As the Manager and an ECE teacher, I happily greet each indiviual family and welcome each child at their level each day. I listen and arrange daily programs to accomidate family expectations and individual childrens needs. I encourge with positive feedback and give childcare support when needed. I am punctual and dependable.I am open for change if needed. I provide a unique daycare experience that through contiued workshops and following up on updated childcare guidelines, I give quality daycare experiences for each family in a safe, caring and fun environment at an affordable price.

Each day I follow the daily schedule, however children have influence on how their day may transition so the daily schedules can fluctuate according to the needs of the group each day. I try to accomodate these needs with a smooth flow of transitions for all to enjoy in a caring and sensitive way understanding the importance of each childs depth in their play at each transition in our day.

Creative and Caring Chris

I set up engaging activities both inside and ouside for many skill levels of learning.We use many tools to experiment and let creative ideas flow. I use all our senses to explore materials along with being sensitive to the needs osf each individual child. I also have exceptional coloring skills as I have been told by the children.

I try to use many different items that the children are interested in to help their curiousity develop further.

Outdoor Chris

I like to be outside and am not affraid to get dirty along with the children. I beleive children learn best through play. With a variety of manipulitives for them to explore at their own pace, learning styles and skill levels. I support risky play in a safe space under my supervision to explore their individual boundaries and support them when they succeed or fail at their adventures. I am an agile rainy-day activity planner. We go outside for up to 2 hours min. each day to explore all types of weather.

Each child is so capable of more if we just give them the trust and security to know the can try try again if they don't succeed the first time.

Mealtimes with Chris

I feel mealtimes are a great way to engage in fabulous learning experiences with the children both at a table or outside having a picnic. I eat with the children modelling table manners and healthy eating habits. I encourage the children to sit while eating. I engage in wonderful conversations that they start and it is a positive time to learn new skills and ask questions too. This social time really is special and no child is pressured to finish food or be critisized for food they have brought. We are Inclusive and respetful.

Mealtimes here are a friendly atmosphere with positive engagment, laughter and social fun.

Our Program

Learn through Play

Outdoor explorations is highly encouraged and offered through frequent forest walks and large outdoor area for active play. I have 30 years of experience with caring for children and I am constantly strengthening my teaching skills through classes and workshops. I strive on running an energetic and engaging program for the children in my care.

Encouraging

I encourage the children to learn and grow at their own pace. As an ECE professional I design my practices, programs and policies to support kind, safe and trusted spaces where children continue to thrive. My program is play-based where children learn through play.

Small Group Setting

My group daycare is licenced for 8 children to 1 staff (myself) ratio and is designed to provide healthy and loving educational experiences for each individual child in my care. Children develop social, self-help and school readiness skills.

I am proud to help further reduce all family childcare fees by being enrolled in the goverment CCOF and CCFRI programs. We also accept childcare Benefit plans which individual families will need to apply for seperately to see if they qualify.
